Sedikit Tentang Radiator Springs

Halloww!;3 mungkin disini udah pada nonton dan tau film the cars. Kalo udah, pasti kalian tau dong sebuah tempat yang namanya radiator springs? yap, itu adalah tempat tinggal Tow Mater dan kawan-kawannya hihii. Kalian tau kan Tow meter?  Mater adalah Mobil Derek Berwarna Coklat Rongsokan yang merupakan sahabat Mcqueen. Dia Menyuruh Mcqueen Untuk Tinggal Di Radiator Springs. 

Disini mungkin saya akan membagikan sedikit informasi tentang Radiator Springs dan Sir Tow Mater. Tapi informasi tentang Tow Mater akan saya post di postingan berikutnya ya hehe. Maaf kalau saya hanya membahas tentang 2 ini, karena pada dasarnya saya sangar sangat tertarik akan dua hal ini:D 

Radiator Springs terletak di route 66 California, Amerika. Radiator Springs merupakan kota tua yang jarang dilewati oleh para pengguna jalan. Disana banyak tersedia toko-toko. Mulai dari Toko Ban milik Luigi mobil kecil yang suka Ferrari, Cozy Cone Motel Milik Sally, Flo's Cafe yang menjual gas oil, dan lain-lainnya. Sebelum mengalami kemunduran, Radiator Spring sempat mangalami masa kejayaan nya. Dimana kota itu sangat ramai dengan pengunjung, tentram, dan semuanya serba indah. Namun, setelah dibangun jalan tol untuk mempercepat para pengemudi sampai di tujuan, Radiator Springs hanyalah tinggal menjadi sebuah kenangan.

Film The Cars yang menggunakan Radiator Spring sebagai latar

Film buatan Disney/Pixar yang mulai diputar tanggal 9 Juni 2006, Cars, menggunakan setting utamanya di kota fiktif Radiator Spring, yang terletak di bagian Route 66 yang telah diganti oleh jalan raya I-40. Kota itu dibuat kebanyakan berdasar pada Amboy, California dan Seligman, Arizona, kota sebenarnya di Route 66 yang menunjukkan penurunan yang cepat saat I-40 dibuka awal tahun 1970an. Film ini aslinya berjudul Route 66, tetapi diganti namanya untuk menghindari kesamaan dengan film seri buatan tahun 1960. Beberapa hal nyata yang diasosiasikan dengan Route 66 muncul di film ini, seperti hotel-hotel.^[5] Tanda nama jalan "The Historic US 66" yang ada di film ini adalah versi khusus dari Arizona.

Route 66 (juga dikenal sebagai U.S. Route 66, The Main Street of America, The Mother Road atau Will RogersHighway^[1]) adalah sebuah jalan raya di Amerika Serikat. Sebagai salah satu jalan nasional, Route 66 diresmikan tanggal11 November 1926, walaupun papan namanya baru ada setahun kemudian.^[2] Aslinya berasal dari Chicago, Illinois, melaluiMissouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, dan California, sebelum berakhir di Los Angeles dengan panjang keseluruhannya 3.940 km^[3].

Route 66 mengalami banyak perbaikan dan perubahan yang membuat jalan tersebut berubah-ubah panjangnya. Jalan ini menjadi jalur utama para migran yang pergi ke barat dan menyokong ekonomi dari komunitas yang dilaluinya. Masyarakat yang berbisnis sepanjang jalur ini menjadi makmur seiring bertambah populernya jalan raya ini, dan mereka pula yang kemudian berjuang untuk membuat jalan ini tetap hidup walau ada ancaman karena diganti oleh sistem jalan raya antar kota yang baru.

Route 66 secara resmi dinonaktifkan (yang berarti dihilangkan dari Sistem Jalan Raya Amerika Serikat) mulai tanggal 27 Juni 1985^[4] setelah diputuskan bahwa jalur ini tidak lagi relevan dan diganti oleh Interstate Highway System (Sistem Jalan Raya Antar Kota). Bagian jalan yang melalui Illinois, New Mexico, and Arizona telah ditetapkan sebagai National Scenic Byway (jalan berpemandangan indah nasional) dengan nama "Historic Route 66" (Route 66 yang bersejarah). Jalur ini kembali masuk ke dalam peta dengan nama barunya.
